Zurich scoops “Excellence in ESG and Sustainability Award" in Hong Kong Insurance Awards 2022

We are extremely proud to announce that Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) has won the “Excellence in ESG and Sustainability Award" in the Hong Kong Insurance Awards 2022 organized by Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI). It is a significant recognition to our dedication in ESG and sustainability. Meanwhile, this accolade coming just in time as double happiness as the Zurich Insurance Group has just celebrated its 150th birthday.

At Zurich, we live up to our brand purpose of “Create a brighter future together” by adopting Zurich Insurance Group’s strategic focus on sustainability to our local operations in everything we do. We do not only focus on protecting our customers, but also engaging our customers, business partners, staff and the community to work together for a sustainable future with transformational results including:

• Reduced paper use by 40% year-on-year as of May 2022 via digitizing our processes internally and throughout the customer journey
• Introduced ESG elements and risk prevention advice in our products and service propositions
• Maintained a more sustainable office with measurable reductions in CO2 emissions 
• Actively engaged our people in sustainability discussions and activities -mobilized 75% of our workforce in the Climate Month initiative
• Influenced the community for a more sustainable society by charitable donations, voluntary work and sponsorships
