Relieve stress by drawing a Zentangle on red packets
Youth empowerment is more than a slogan, because we act on it. Zurich Insurance invited Carrie Yue, a lab fellow of Trial and Error Lab HK, to design the company’s red packet for the Year of the rat. While spreading good wishes to customers, business partners and staff, we give a hand to young people who are talented and ready to accept challenges.
Carrie suffered from stress and emotion five years ago, until she was introduced to Zentangle. She found her peace of mind and thought to build up her career on Zentangle. Later she set up her own workshop Carrie Fish Zentangle at Trial and Error Lab HK, working around the clock to develop a sustainable career. As a full-time certified Zentangle instructor, Carrie loves to promote the relaxing doodle technique and helps people relax and stay focused.
Zentangle is a mindful technique of creating beautiful images from repetitive and structured patterns. Drawing a Zentangle is said to help reduce anxiety and boost creativity. It has taken the world by storm as a new form of art therapy. Zurich Insurance has always been committed to providing customers with all-round protection. We care for our customers, both their physical and mental health. By working hand in hand with Carrie, we hope to increase public awareness on mental health.
About Zurich’s commitment on youth empowerment
Changes in skills and technology mean that youngsters can no longer acquire the job they want simply through hard work alone. It is important to use imagination and take a creative approach in addressing such challenge. Z Zurich Foundation pledged its full support to the two flagship projects hosted by Breakthrough, namely “MineCity” and “Trial and Error Lab HK” by providing funding of more than HKD8 million from 2018 to 2020. We strongly believe that these programs will ensure the sustainable development of the entire society and help youngsters to build skills and confidence.
