Emergency support for customers during record-breaking rainstorm

In September 2023, Hong Kong was hit by record-breaking rainstorm that caused flooding in many areas across the city. During this difficult time, Zurich was committed to assisting its customers in any possible ways. During the heavy rainfall, several elevators and lifts in a large building complex were affected by flooding. Upon receiving the notification, Zurich promptly arranged for adjustors to inspect the site within a few hours.

To help our customer repair the damage as soon as possible, the adjustors recommended that emergency repairs be carried out immediately, while retaining the damaged components for insurance claims. Within three days, our customer successfully resumed operations, expressing utmost satisfaction with Zurich's swift arrangements. This incident demonstrates that insurance goes beyond compensation after an accident but also offer useful advice, reduce losses and speed up recovery during times of crisis.
