Zurich Hong Kong and Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong form Strategic Collaboration to provide one-stop digital solutions to cover travel needs, in response to soaring demand for travel insurance

  • Zurich Hong Kong and Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong’s (HTHK) new insurance agent arm Domain5 have joined forces to offer customers with one-stop insurance solutions and exclusive offers.
  • The collaboration will initially focus on travel insurance and is expected to expand to other offerings at the later stage.
  • To celebrate the new collaboration, Zurich and Domain5 are launching three tailored travel insurance promotions for customers, including additional travel delay allowance, premium discounts and a mini game giving away free air tickets.

Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) (“Zurich”) and Hutchison Telecommunications (Hong Kong) Limited (“HTHK”) are pleased to announce a strategic collaboration in conjunction with HTHK’s new service brand Domain5 to promote Zurich’s insurance products and provide customers with the best insurance products and service experience.

In the initial phase, the collaboration will focus on the promotion of travel insurance, enabling customers to complete online applications and enjoy exclusive discounts through a dedicated digital platform for 3 Hong Kong, SUPREME, SoSIM and MO+.

 

Duo industry leaders join hands to cater for customer needs by offering one-stop digital services

Demand for travel related products and services grow as the peak season for travelling has come. Customers of 3 Hong Kong, SUPREME, SoSIM and MO+, in addition to enjoying the convenience of subscribing to data roaming services on mobile apps and dedicated webpages, can purchase the Breezy Travel Insurance Plan (“Breezy Travel”) on a dedicated online platform. The streamlined application process could take as fast as five minutes, enabling customers to swiftly and effortlessly purchase insurance products by using mobile phones or other smart devices, anytime and anywhere.

Zurich's diverse range of travel insurance products has always been highly regarded by customers in view of its comprehensive and flexible coverage. Last September, Zurich launched the Breezy Travel which enables customers to customize their protection options. Following the resurgence of travel over the past year, Zurich’s direct sales channel has achieved exceptional performance – recording a remarkable year-on-year growth of over 400% in new business for travel insurance as of September 2023.

The collaboration leverages the capabilities and expertise of Zurich Edge, a digital partnerships proposition that delivers tailored solutions for customers, seamlessly through existing partner ecosystems. Leveraging Zurich’s strong digital insurance expertise and HTHK’s extensive telecoms experience, the collaboration brings great convenience to customers – allowing for affinity travel purchases through a single platform and providing an end-to-end digital purchase experience.

  • 3 Hong Kong, SUPREME, SoSIM and MO+ customers will enjoy an additional HKD 200 travel delay allowance when applying for Zurich's Breezy Travel single trip and annual travel plans1.
  • From today until February 16, 2024, customers who apply for Zurich's Breezy Travel single trip travel plan can enjoy a limited-time 20% discount. In addition, customers applying for the annual travel plan can enjoy a 20% discount on the first-year premium.
  • Zurich has launched mini games on Facebook and Instagram as a celebration. Winners will each receive travel gift coupons worth HKD $10,000 (Quota: 4). The games will end on February 16. Terms and conditions apply.

Zurich’s Breezy Travel Insurance Plan offers comprehensive and personalized coverage with six optional benefits

Zurich’s Breezy Travel Insurance Plan offers a wide range of travel coverage, including personal property protection, medical coverage up to HKD 1,500,0002  and up to HKD 50,000 trip cancellation or interruption limit2. Customers can further personalize their coverage by selecting from six optional benefits that meet their specific travel purposes, including road trip, pre-wedding photo trip/ overseas wedding, overseas events such as concerts, festivals, and carnivals, amateur sports like skiing and diving, cruise tours, and short-term overseas study exchange.

Going forward, Zurich and HTHK will continue to work closely via Domain5 to provide customers with diverse insurance products and a convenient service experience.
